Even for people who live in the UK full time, getting around to see different places can be a little tricky and confusing. There are several options, but none of them are guaranteed to be cheap unless you do your research and know who to listen to. Here are our top three tips to help you plan a trip around the UK.
Don’t write off taxi transfers
A lot of people will do their best to avoid taxi services because they may have had a bad experience in the past or been advised not to use them on the grounds that they can overcharge.
However, many taxi companies are completely reasonable with their charges, and if you need to make a quick and/or unusual journey that can’t be covered by public transport, taxis will often be a cheap and efficient option. It is worth remembering that busy cities (especially in the capital) will be a lot more expensive. If you are travelling from London to Bath for example, a Bath taxi company may be a more affordable option for airport transfers to and from your destination.
